About GrowthSparked

GrowthSparked is an editorial publication for small business owners and working professionals — the people who run a company and a life and refuse to compromise on either. We publish practical, source-cited guides on the financial, legal, health, career, home-ownership, and family decisions that most affect that group, written for someone who has fifteen minutes to read and a real choice to make today.

We started GrowthSparked because the business and lifestyle web is dominated by two extremes: enterprise-targeted analysis written for Fortune 500 readers, and SEO-driven listicles that bury the answer under three thousand words of throat-clearing. There is almost nothing for the person who owns a six-person service company, has a mortgage, has kids, and needs a clear answer about their LLC owner draws or whether to refinance — written by someone who has actually had to make those decisions.

Who runs this site

GrowthSparked is published and edited by Andrae Washington, founder of Growth Plug AI. Andrae has spent the last decade building and advising venture-backed companies, and he runs GrowthSparked as the editorial arm of his daily work helping local service businesses get found and grow on Google.

Andrae personally reviews every article on this site for accuracy, originality, and usefulness before it is published. The byline on every page reflects that editorial accountability — a real person, with a real LinkedIn, who can be reached by email and who stands behind the advice. You can read his full bio and find his contact information on his author profile.

How we make our content

Our process is built on three rules:

  1. Topics come from real questions. We track what business owners and professionals are actually searching for — not what marketers want them to search for — and start there.
  2. Every article is reviewed by a named human editor. Andrae reviews each piece for factual accuracy, source quality, and whether the article actually answers the question a reader came in with. Drafts that don't meet that bar get rewritten or killed.
  3. Sources are primary, current, and named. When we cite a statistic or a regulation, we link to the source — IRS publications, Bureau of Labor Statistics tables, peer-reviewed studies, or specific government and industry filings. We do not paraphrase third-hand summaries.

Our full editorial standards, fact-checking process, and corrections policy are documented on our Editorial Policy page.

Who we write for

The owner who runs a six-person company and a family of four. The professional managing a career, a mortgage, a side business, and three kids' schedules at the same time. The person who needs a real answer, not a three-thousand-word introduction to a two-hundred-word answer. If that's you, you're who we write for.

What we cover

We publish across business, finance, healthcare, legal, real estate, home services, career, insurance, fitness, mental wellness, parenting, and education. Pillars are not silos — most of our readers face decisions that span several categories at once, and our articles are written and cross-linked accordingly.

How we make money

GrowthSparked earns revenue from two sources, both clearly disclosed:

We do not currently participate in any affiliate programs. If that ever changes, we will disclose every affiliate relationship on every page that contains one. Our editorial decisions are not influenced by potential revenue from any product, service, or company we cover.
